Departure of the ladies and return of the lawyers

Who comes and who goes casts of Love glory and beauty (BB), days of our lives (DAYS), general hospital (GH), and The young and the restless (year)?

Here is a list of major release and entry news of the four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite artists from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring or daytime roles.

Love glory and beauty

A big star leaves The Bold and the Beautiful. Rena Sofer chose not to renew her contract with the soap opera and is leaving her role as Quinn Fuller Forrester. Sofer, who has played Quinn since 2013, will make his final appearance later this month.

Naomi Matsuda returns as Dr. Li Finnegan on Thursday, August 25, while Steven Christopher Parker returns as Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) parole officer Jordan on Monday, August 22. Plus, Hollis W. Chambers is serving more drinks like Paul, the bartender at Il Giardino, on Friday, August 26.

On the children’s side, Sophia Paras McKinlay is back in the role of Kelly Spencer on Wednesday August 24 and Thursday August 24 and 25. Remington Blaire Evans had briefly stepped in as the character during Evans’ absence. Additionally, Cooper and Miles Kilian perform Hayes Finnegan on Wednesday and Thursday, August 24 and 25.

A prominent leading lady is also leaving General Hospital. Word is Kelly Thiebaud’s run as Dr Britt Westbourne ends in a few months; apparently in November. The actress is set to reprise her role as Eva Vasquez in the upcoming sixth season of the primetime series Station 19. Thiebaud has portrayed Britt on and off since 2012.

The young and the restless

Aaron Schwartz joins The Young and the Restless as Lucas, a mysterious new character who arrives in Genoa City to work on an assignment for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). It will air on Wednesday August 23 and Thursday August 25. Schwartz previously portrayed Vanya on the primetime series Gossip Girl.

Zuleyka Silver was cast as Audra Charles, a new leader summoned to Genoa City by one of her business icons. She will make her soap opera debut next month.

Additionally, Paxton Mishkind is reprising the role of Johnny Abbott. The new son of Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will premiere in September.

days of our lives

A pair of lawyers are back at the Days of our Lives scene. Tina Huang returns as fierce DA Melinda Trask on Thursday, August 25. She will interact with Emily O’Brien’s Gwen Rizczech and Greg Rikaart’s Leo Stark.

Additionally, Jessica Serfaty, who made her soap opera debut as Sloan last week, will air again on Monday, August 22. She will share scenes with her client, Greg Rikaart’s Leo, as well as Galen Gering’s Rafe Hernandez.

B&B is one of four soap operas currently airing. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives (DOOL), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR). The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtime.
