She has the voice of an angel.

And Katherine Jenkins was recognized on Tuesday for her incredible musical talents at the Royal Academy of Music.

The mezzo-soprano has received the prestigious Fellow of the Royal Academy of Music (FRAM) award – awarded to those who have made significant contributions to the musical profession or to the Academy.

The mother-of-two was pictured at Freemason’s Hall in London wearing a traditional black graduation gown and a red and yellow stole across her shoulders for the event.

The Wales native stepped out in a pair of black closed-toe heels and held a Royal Academy of Music program in her hands.

Katherine won a scholarship to study at the Royal Academy of Music at age 17 and graduated with honors.

She then performed at a mass that honored the Pope’s Silver Jubilee at Westminster Cathedral in 2003.

Today, she is the best-selling classical artist of the century – selling over 2.6 million albums.

Katherine is an avid activist in the arts community, speaking about the lack of government support in the entertainment industry during the pandemic on the Emma Forbes podcast last year.

Sharing her fears of the uncertainty for artists, she said: “We are going to lose a generation of incredibly talented people.”

“I am dealing with such talented people who must be wondering if they will be Amazon drivers.”

Katherine also criticized government ads urging artists to retrain in other fields, such as computers, as “some kind of sick joke.”
