Listen to ‘Found in Translation: A Dramatic Opera Experience’ by Traverse City Opera

Earlier this month, a brand new opera company made its Traverse City debut at Kirkbride Hall.

Traverse City Opera House called its inaugural program “Found in Translation: A Dramatic Opera Experience”.

Traverse City Opera executive director Lindsey Anderson told IPR that she and her colleagues want to show audiences that opera stories are relevant, relatable and show the human experience.

To help audiences understand the text and emotions of each play, the actors presented modernized English translations of each script. Sara Hartley prepared the scripts for the show.
