The Komische Oper Berlin has announced its 2021-22 season. Here is an overview of the lyrical and vocal performances.

Opera – Premieres

Enescu’s rarely performed masterpiece “dipe”Opens the season. The opera stars Jens Larsen, Joachim Goltz, Vazgen Gazaryan, Shavleg Armasi, Johannes Dunz, Christoph Späth, Karolina Gumos, Katarina Bradić, Mirka Wagner and Leigh Melrose in the title role. Ainārs RubiÄ·is is directing a production by Evgeny Titov.

Performance dates: August 29 – September 26, 2021

The next step is that of Kurt Weill “Rise and fall of the city of Mahagonny. “The opera features Nadine Weissmann, Ivan TurÅ¡ić, Jens Larsen, Nadja Mchantaf, Alma Sadé, Peter Renz, Tom Erik Lie, Tijl Faveyts, Günter Papendell and Allan Clayton as Jim Mahoney.
