After a year of absence from the stage, the San Francisco Opera is back.

On September 10, SF Opera held its first show in over a year at the War Memorial Opera House. During a simulcast at Oracle Park where opera fans could revel in the range of vocal musical notes of the grass of the fields, the performers presented “Live and In Concert: The Homecoming”. An apt title, indeed.

This was the inaugural show with SF Opera for music director Eun Sun Kim. Soloists Jamie Barton and Rachel Willis-Sørensen paved the way for opera’s wonderful return to San Francisco.
